코나미 디지털 엔터테인먼트는 오늘 환상수호전 I&II HD 리마스터 게이트 룬 앤 두난 유니피케이션 워즈가 닌텐도 스위치™, 플레이스테이션®5, 플레이스테이션®4, 엑스박스 시리즈 X|S, 엑스박스 원, 그리고 PC(STEAM, 마이크로소프트 게임즈, 에픽)를 통해 정식 출시되었다고 발표했다. 

환상수호전 시리즈는 1995년 첫 출시 이후 코나미의 오리지널 RPG 시리즈로 큰 인기를 끌었다. 이번 환상수호전 I&II HD 리마스터 게이트 룬 앤 두난 유니피케이션 워즈는 원작의 감동적인 스토리와 다채로운 캐릭터의 매력을 그대로 살리는 것을 목표로 하고 있다. 이번 출시 트레일러에서는 환상수호전 I&II의 스토리를 다시 조명하며, 전투 시스템과 개선된 게임 플레이 요소를 담은 새로운 영상이 공개되었다.

▶ 그래픽 향상

픽셀 스프라이트와 배경 그래픽이 한층 세련되었으며, 조명, 구름, 그림자 애니메이션 등 새로운 화면 효과가 추가되었다. 타오르는 불꽃, 피어오르는 연기, 바람에 흔들리는 나뭇잎과 날아다니는 곤충까지 더욱 생동감 넘치는 게임 환경을 경험할 수 있다. 또한, 게임 내 연출이 개선되어 명장면들이 더욱 아름답고 감각적으로 재현되었다.

▶ 새로운 캐릭터 일러스트

모든 캐릭터 초상화가 HD로 업데이트되었으며, 1995년 오리지널 환상수호전의 캐릭터 디자인을 맡았던 카와노 준코가 직접 환상수호전 I HD 리마스터 게이트 룬 워즈의 모든 캐릭터 초상화를 새롭게 그렸다. 

▶ 사운드 개선 

• 필드 사운드: 강물의 흐름, 바람 소리, 곤충 소리, 발걸음 소리 등 원작에서는 들을 수 없었던 다양한 환경음이 추가되어 몰입감을 극대화했다.

• 전투 사운드: 모든 효과음이 HD로 재작업되었으며, 3D 효과와 사실적인 음향을 통해 더욱 박진감 넘치는 전투를 즐길 수 있다.

대화 로그 기능, 자동 전투, 2배속 전투 등 다양한 신규 기능이 추가되었다.

• About Suikoden

Released in 1995 as a game software for PlayStation. Based on the motif of the Chinese classic novel Water Margin, this is the first title in KONAMI's iconic original RPG series depicting the fate of those who bear the True Runes of the Scarlet Moon empire. The story follows the protagonist, whose father is one of the empire's five generals, as he gathers his 108 Stars of Destiny and friends to fight against the oppressive rule of the Empire in ruin. The touching story depicting the bonds between family and friends was highly acclaimed around the world. The unique Suikoden system, including Rune magic and the 108 Stars of Destiny to recruit has been inherited by subsequent titles in the series. This is the second title in the Suikoden series released in 1998. This sequel title in the series is set three years after the first game, further evolving the game systems unique to Suikoden, such as Rune magic, the 108 Stars of Destiny, home base management, and Army Battles, which were well received in the previous game. Three childhood friends, including the protagonist, are tossed about by a great whirlpool of destiny.
