Konami Digital Entertainment Limited(이하 KONAMI)는 Sony Interactive Entertainment의 최신 State of Play 방송을 통해 SILENT HILL: Townfall의 정식 트레일러를 공개했다. 이번 영상은 아이코닉한 심리 호러 시리즈의 올해 신작에 대한 첫 상세 모습을 팬들에게 선보인다.

플레이어는 모든 것을 바로잡기 위해 St. Amelia 섬으로 다시 불려온 Simon Ordell의 시점에서 이야기를 경험하게 된다. 짙은 안개 아래 고요히 가라앉아 있는 이 마을은 겉보기에는 버려진 듯 보이지만, 결코 평온하지 않다.Simon이 가진 것은 옷가지 외에 자신의 이름이 적힌 의료용 손목밴드와 수액 팩뿐이다. 그는 어떠한 단서도 없이 마을로 향하지만, 여정 도중 손에 넣은 CRTV에서 들려오는 목소리들이 그를 이끈다. 장소와 그곳의 사람들과의 연결고리를 이해하고자 더 깊이 들어가면서, Simon은 서서히 수면 위로 떠오르는 과거의 단편들을 마주하게 된다.

완전한 1인칭 시점으로 진행되는 SILENT HILL: Townfall에서 플레이어는 CRTV를 포함한 제한된 무기와 도구를 활용해 탐색하고, 회피하며, 생존해야 한다. 불안감을 극대화하는 긴장감 넘치는 회피 플레이와 격렬한 전투, 그리고 서사 중심의 퍼즐은 끝내 가라앉지 않으려는 진실을 서서히 드러낸다.
