요즘은 많이 따라잡혔지만 일주일전만해도 독보적이었던 Albus..

======================================================================
Gamertag: Albus
Favorite Cars: Honda Civic, Porsche 911, original GTO
GT3 Favorite Tracks: Alpine Ring, Tokyo.
Controller Preference: Steering Wheel
1. Learn to use the brakes
I think the biggest advantage I have over other guys is that I find good braking points and I hit them every lap. Learn the best brake points on each track. Brake and coast a fraction of a second instead of going into the turn too deeply. Practicing with the left trigger (brake) is more important and more difficult than the right trigger (accelerator).
2. I Like Wheels!
If you’re an old GPL (Grand Prix Legends), F1 2000, or Nascar PC racer, you might like trying a wheel with your Xbox. It takes 10-12 hours to adjust, and you won’t really be faster, but (at least for me), I find that I’m much, much more consistent in my laps than I was with an Xbox controller. You might have faster input with a controller, but you can have finer input with a wheel (at least for steering).
3. Use the Suggested Line
I think the driving line, which dynamically adjusts based on your speed and traction, is a HUGE helper. Use the Suggested Line assist until you get a feel for the cars/tracks, especially if you’re new to the game. The Suggested Line provides a good (although not optimal) line to follow, as well as teaching you the optimal deceleration and brake points. Heed the color coding and brake as soon as you see the triangles turn red. Turn off the line once you’re comfortable with the cars and tracks.
4. Use Assists
Don’t feel wimpy about the driving assists. I always race with ABS and TCS on.
5. Experiment
Experiment with different upgrade packages and create an optimum level 1 class car for each class (D, C, B, A, etc.). There is no universal or perfect combination of upgrades. For some cars, it’s better to leave the horsepower (HP) alone and upgrade tires and reduce the car’s weight, and the opposite is true for other cars. Try different combinations until you find what works best for you.
6. Race Ghosts
Start a Free Run game, download ghosts to race against. Ghosts can show you better lines around a track. If they’re too fast, download a D-class ghost and try to keep up in a B- class car so you can learn. In general, always try to stay on the bumper of someone faster than you; you can learn a lot from the lines they take.
7. Adjust Gear Ratios
Adjusting gear ratios is probably the adjustment that will improve your lap times the most in a stock car. The stock gears are rarely the best. Try adjusting the Final Drive Ratio (the slider at the top of the Gears tab) until you find yourself just hitting the rev limit at the end of the longest straight. Short, turn-intensive tracks favor acceleration over top speed; tracks with lots of straight lines favor top speed over acceleration.
8. Lose the Line
As soon as you feel comfortable, turn off the Suggested Line, Auto-shifting, and Stability management. The Suggested Line is a great learning tool, but it can be hypnotic and you may find yourself looking more at the line than the track. Once you start learning your own brake-markers and master manual shifting, you’ll knock 1-2 seconds off your lap times. You’ll also earn more money in Career Mode races for using fewer assists.
9. Avoid Pile Ups!
Whenever possible, get a great jump off the line, pull ahead of the pack (AWD cars are great for this) and get out of the way! If necessary, settle for a mid-pack position, but stay inside and cautious going into the first turn. Don’t try to overtake two or three cars at the start. Don’t be afraid cut corners if it’s a grass or sand, either. It may slow you down, but avoiding a pile up is more important, and if you survive the first turn, you’re probably mid-pack at worst. If you start at the back of a race, lollygag a bit off the line and watch half the pack take itself out in the first turn. , just make sure you aren’t close enough to end up in the heap. You may not win the race, but you have a decent chance at a podium if you let competitors take each other out trying wild passing maneuvers.
10. Race Friends
There’s really nothing more enjoyable than racing friends at a similar skill level online. You’ll learn their habits and weed out griefers. If you find a good, clean (and fast) racer, add them to your friends list and invite them into your races. Quality competition creates a more enjoyable online experience, and you’ll learn more quickly.
